Submissive Desires, by Carolyn Faulkner, is an extremely explicit and very severe story, containing intense spanking, caning, breast, anal, and genital punishment, as well as bondage. Submissive Desires relates the tale of Simon and Maura, and the awakening of a fully D/S relationship.
Simon is an ex-Navy Seal and he knows what he wants when he finally finds it, and Maura is it. The problem is that Maura “thinks” she’s submissive, but all she’s ever done is play with it.
The story is told in a back and forth mode, moving back and forth between their first encounters five years earlier and the present day. Submissive Desires recounts Maura’s awakening at the hands of the very dominant Simon.
She struggles intensely between her love for Simon and trepidation over the path down which he is leading her. This book is much more intense in it’s dominance than some other books like Carrie’s story. Though they are in a very real relationship he never actually states his commitment or tells her he loves her. The tension and excitement is almost constant.
Some readers can be uncomfortable by some of the more intense scenes such as needle play. This is definitely one of the more intense BDSM books.
